Skateboarder steals from gas station

A man took off on his skateboard after stealing several items from a Mobil gas station in Birmingham on Tuesday, October 2.

Birmingham police arrived at the Mobil Gas Station at 36200 Woodward Avenue at Oak Street around 2 p.m., where employees said a man approached the cash register with several items, and then said he had left his wallet at home. He then ran out of the store with the items, and took off on a skateboard.

He is described as a white male, between 18 and 25, with long brown hair, a black shirt with red writing and black cargo pants.

Birmingham police are investigating.
