Woman steals seven wallets from TJ Maxx

Bloomfield Township police officers caught a woman who had just left the Bloomfield Township TJ Maxx store with seven wallets she had stolen, and when questioned, she admitted stealing goods from other stores as well.

On Sunday, October 7, officers responded to TJ Maxx, 2139 S. Telegraph Road in the Bloomfield Town Square shopping center, where the store manager reported a heavy-set, middle aged black female had just left the store with seven wallets she had not paid for.

Officers located the woman in the area, pushing a shopping cart.

When they questioned the woman, she confessed to stealing merchandise at TJ Maxx, Five Below and Dollar Tree stores.

The suspect was arrested and charged with retail fraud, third degree.
