Turkey Shoot Golf Classic benefits Lighthouse

The sixth annual Turkey Shoot Golf Classic will be held Saturday, November 10, at Birmingham's Springdale Golf Course, with all donations collected during the event donated to Lighthouse of Oakland County.

The event, located at Birmingham's Springdale municipal course at 316 Strathmore, will kick off with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. and includes 18 holes of golf for walkers, and an awards dinner. Two-person teams will enjoy three different formats: scramble, alternate shot and best ball of two. Golfers are encouraged to register their teams by calling 248.530.1660.

The event cost is $30 per player, with anyone bringing a frozen turkey for Lighthouse of Oakland County receiving $10 off the entry fee. Those who bring non-perishable food items will receive $5 off the entry fee.

“This is the perfect time of year to enjoy the beautiful fall colors on the golf course while helping those in need,” said Birmingham Golf Manager Jacky Brito. “Invite your friends and family along for a great game of golf followed by a delicious meal.”

Birmingham's Lincoln Hills Golf Course has closed for the season, but Springdale remains open, weather permitting.
