14 Mile Road closed between Telegraph & Lahser

Consumers Energy has completely closed 14 Mile Road between Telegraph and Lahser roads to all through traffic until the end of November as the company addresses an emergency gas line repair.

Initially, the utility closed eastbound 14 Mile Road in that stretch Wednesday, November 7, believing they could address a gas line repair, but later that day they closed the road completely to all through traffic to address an emergency gas line repair.

The repair is expected to be completed and the road re-opened by the end of November.

The recommended detour route is Telegraph Road to Maple Road to Lahser and back to 14 Mile Road, and vice versa.

Due to ongoing Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) construction work on this section of Telegraph, motorists may want to consider alternate routes as well.
