Porch pirate caught on surveillance camera


A man who allegedly stole a package off the front porch of a Bloomfield Township residence on Tuesday, December 4, was caught on a surveillance camera in the 2300 block of Devonshire Road, police said.

Police officers responded about 4 p.m. for a report of a theft from the homeowner's front porch. The victim told officers an unknown person took an undisclosed package.

The resident said the man was captured on the homeowner's RING doorbell surveillance camera.

Police ask anyone with information about the theft or who may be able to identify the man to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
