Woman arrested in shoplifting incident

A Pontiac woman arrested in connection with an attempted shoplifting incident at a Bloomfield Township department store is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, March 6.

Bloomfield Township police said Janee Aleece McArthur, 25, of Pontiac was arrested on Saturday, February 16, at Target, 2400 Telegraph Road, after the loss prevention manager at the store told police she attempted to steal several articles of clothing. The manager told police McArthur concealed the clothes in her handbag and tried to exit the store without paying.

McArthur was stopped by employees and arrested by police in connection with retail fraud. She is scheduled for a court appearance in March in 48th District Court.
