Laptop stolen from Birmingham restaurant

An unattended laptop computer was stolen on Thursday, February 28, from a downtown Birmingham restaurant, police said.

The victim told police he was at Panera Bread, 100 N. Old Woodward, about 7:30 p.m. and left his backpack and MacBook Pro on a table near the entrance when he left the store for about an hour. The victim returned to find the computer missing.

There are no witnesses or suspects.

Birmingham police are investigating.
