Police arrest man for theft of booze

Bloomfield Township police on Wednesday, March 6, arrested a man at a local Target store after he was stopped by store security for allegedly attempting to steal two bottles of liquor in his pants.

Officers responded about 3:20 p.m. to Target, 2400 Telegraph Road, for an alleged theft. Loss prevention employees at the store told police the man, identified only as Andrew Anthony Struzyk, had concealed two bottles of Skyy vodka in the back pockets of his pants and left the store without purchasing them.

The suspect was detained by loss prevention associates and arrested by officers in connection with retail fraud, second degree. He is being held in connection with unrelated charges with the Michigan Department of Corrections.
