Police arrest bandit who fingered designer purses

Bloomfield Township police said on Monday, March 25, that a Detroit woman was arrested and arraigned in connection with the theft of two designer purses from a resident in the 6000 Maple Hills Drive of Bloomfield Township. Police said in February that detectives were investigating the theft of a Louis Vuitton clutch purse and a black Chanel shoulder purse that went missing in January from the home. Investigators said the purses, valued at $2,800, were taken from a closet in the home. Police arrested Kimberly Louise Davis, 32, of Detroit, in connection with the missing purses. Davis, who was working as an in-home caregiver, was charged with larceny. She was arraigned in 48th District Court before Magistrate Julie Nelson-Klein and given a $20,000 cash/surety bond. Davis is scheduled to appear in 48th District Court on Thursday, April 4.
