Police seek man for attempted bank fraud

Bloomfield Township police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man suspected of trying to withdraw thousands of dollars from a bank account belonging to a local resident.

The investigation stems from a fraud complaint filed in December of 2018 involving a Bloomfield Township resident in the 5000 block of Blanford Road. The victim said he was contacted by his bank after someone attempted to withdraw $4,000 from his checking account.

Detectives obtained surveillance footage of the man and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
