Drunken coney visit ends with trip to jail

Birmingham police arrested one man and cited two others on Saturday, March 30, after responding to the complaint of a fight about 2 a.m. inside Leo's Coney Island, 200 S. Old Woodward Avenue.

Officers responding to the report of a fight in progress between customers inside the restaurant arrived to find three men fighting. Police determined the men were intoxicated.

Police said the men attempted to resist officers who were breaking up the fight, including a 27-year-old Northville man who allegedly struck an officer in the face. He was arrested in connection with aggravated, felonious assault of a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Officers also cited a 39-year-old West Bloomfield man in connection with assault and battery and disorderly conduct; and a 28-year-old Wixom man in connection with disorderly conduct.
