Woman steals alcohol from Kroger

Birmingham police are investigating the theft of more than $1,600 in alcohol from a local Kroger store in the 700 block of E. Maple Road.

Police said Kroger's asset protection specialist told police that a woman stole the liquor from the store, located at 685 E. Maple at Woodward Avenue, on five separate incidents between March 25 and April 18.

The woman was described as a white female in her 30s with brown hair. She is said to frequently wear a black sweatshirt with the word “LOVE” on the front.
