Shoplifter arrested at Whole Foods

A Southfield woman was arrested on Thursday, May 16, in connection with retail fraud after allegedly walking out of Whole Foods, 2100 East Maple, Birmingham, with a cart full of stolen groceries, Birmingham police said. Police identified the thief as a 41-year-old woman from Southfield. Police said the woman admitted to "having a hard time" lately and had no intention of paying for the items. She was arrested on suspicion of retail fraud.
