Test drive ends with theft of car

A test drive of a new car at a Bloomfield Township Honda dealership turned into a stolen vehicle incident when the potential customer turned out to be a thief and didn't return with the vehicle.

Bloomfield Township police said a salesperson at Page Honda, 1819 Telegraph, told officers that a black female came into the dealership and asked to test drive a gray, 2019 Honda Accord. After she failed to return the vehicle, the dealership called police to report the car stolen.

The woman was described as being about 45 years old, and about five-feet, seven-inches tall, weighing about 210 pounds.

The case is under investigation.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
