Lawn equipment stolen from truck in city

Yard tools and lawn equipment were stolen on Tuesday, July 9, from a truck parked in the 500 block of Catalpa in Birmingham, police said.

Birmingham police responded about 2 p.m. to the area after a contractor doing yard work at an unoccupied home model reported the crime. Police said several pieces of lawn equipment were stolen.

The case is under investigation.
