Birmingham police to hold first bike rodeo

Hey kids – get your parents to take you over to 151 Pierce Street on Saturday, July 27, at 9 a.m. for the first Annual Birmingham Police Department Bike Rodeo, free for all children ages four through 12. This first ever event will allow attendees to learn new skills and practice right on the police department's challenge courses, visit the bike wash station, and receive a personalized bike safety license. Bike inspections will be offered by the Birmingham Police Bicycle Patrol Unit along with the Birmingham Fire Department. Those attending are reminded to bring their bike and their helmet. For questions, call the Birmingham Police Department, 248.530.1863.
