Birmingham's Day on the Town on July 27

It's the day Birmingham goes on sale! This year, Birmingham's largest shopping day, Day On The Town, will take place Saturday, July 27, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. for bargain hunters and entertainment seekers looking for the year's best deal. Come rain or shine, Birmingham merchants will set up shop outdoors all day long to showcase their discounted merchandise around Maple and Old Woodward, so get your credit cards ready. From shoes and great clothes to home décor and jewelry, there's something that will delight everyone during Day On The Town. The day is not only about bargains. Kids are welcome throughout the day, with children’s activities set up throughout town. Throughout Day On The Town, young attendees will enjoy a Kids Zone featuring a rock climbing wall, crafts and a bounce house sponsored by Platinum Motor Cars. Old Woodward will be closed to traffic from Willits to Brown; Maple will be closed from Bates to Peabody. Come join in the fun – and the discounts. Shoppers will enjoy free parking in all parking structures and at meters throughout the event. Day On The Town is sponsored by the Birmingham Shopping District. For more information, visit
