Public defecator cited for disorderly conduct

Birmingham police on Monday, July 22, cited a West Bloomfield man suspected of disorderly conduct near the observation platform on the south side of the Rouge River, on Willow Lane, near Baldwin Park.

Police responded about 7 p.m. to the complaint from a woman in the area who said she witnessed a man defecating near the platform. She took a picture of the man's license plate.

Officers contacted the man, who was identified only as a 60-year-old male resident of West Bloomfield.

The man was issued a citation for disorderly conduct.
