Lawnmower stolen from front yard

A Birmingham resident mowing his lawn Friday evening, July 26, in the 600 block of Kennesaw had his lawnmower stolen when he stepped away to chat with a neighbor, police said.

Birmingham police responded about 6 p.m. to the area for a theft complaint. The victim told officers he left his lawnmower in front of his house for about 15 minutes while at a neighbor's home. When he returned, the mower was missing.

The mower was described as a black EGO, battery powered mower.

Birmingham police are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact the Birmingham Police Department at 248.530.1870.
