Police track down two Costco shoplifters

Bloomfield Township police on Friday, July 26, were able to track down and arrest two women accused of stealing about $200 in liquor and clothing items from a local Costco.

Police responded about 8:40 p.m. to the complaint of retail fraud at the store, 2343 Telegraph Road. The caller told police two women stole three bottles of tequila and several small clothing items from the store. The women left the store in a black pickup truck.

Officers were able to locate the truck on Telegraph with two occupants matching the description of the shoplifters. Police said the stolen items were found in the vehicle and the women were both arrested in connection with retail fraud.

The women, both of Pontiac, were issued citations for retail fraud and were subsequently arraigned on Wednesday, August 7, at 48th District Court in Bloomfield Township.
