Police departments investigate graffiti incidents

Police are investigating unrelated graffiti incidents in Birmingham and Bloomfield Township that occurred Thursday August 8 through August 10. Officers in Birmingham responded about 5 p.m. on Thursday to the report of graffiti at a construction site at 369 North Old Woodward. Police said unknown individuals painted pictures and words on the roof and exterior wall of the building. There were no suspects or witnesses. Police in Bloomfield Township responded about 1:45 p.m. on August 10 to the 1300 block of Square Lake Road for a vandalism complaint. The victim told police someone spray painted his property between 10:30 p.m. the previous day and 1:30 a.m. that day using orange spray paint. The victim said that a letter carrier also told him five mailboxes had been vandalized with similar orange paint. The case is under investigation.
