Township home invasion under investigation

Bloomfield Township police are investigating a home invasion reported on the afternoon of Thursday, September 5, in the 3000 block of E. Ridge Court, near Hickory Grove Road and Telegraph.

Police said the victim told officers he believes the break-in occurred sometime between August 6 and August 8 when he was out of town on business.

It wasn't immediately known how the burglars gained entry into the home, which had a security system, police said. The home was unoccupied at the time of the crime, and several rooms were ransacked. The victim said several pieces of jewelry and electronics were stolen.

Investigators are reviewing video from the scene.
