Revive store owner witnesses theft by teen

The owner of a downtown Birmingham clothing boutique on Wednesday, October 9, told police one teen out of a group of students stole a shirt from his store located in the 200 block of West Maple.

Birmingham police said the owner at Revive, 200 West Maple, told officers that about 3 p.m. that a group of teens entered the store and one of them took a shirt off of a hanger and crumpled it into his shorts before attempting to leave the store.

The owner said the teens said they were getting ready for homecoming at Southfield High School.

The case is under investigation.
