Birmingham police investigate theft of packages

Birmingham police are investigating the theft of multiple packages from a front porch on Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Coolidge.

Officers responding to a theft in the area said a witness told them that a black male pulled up to the home in a dark colored sport utility vehicle about noon and took three packages from the porch.

The witness said the man was wearing a black cap, black zip-up hoodie and a black shirt with a blue logo.

The incident is under investigation.
