Weekend construction closes Long Lake Road

Long Lake Road between Woodward Avenue and Eastways Road in Bloomfield Hills will be closed from Saturday, November 9, through Sunday, November 10, in order to replace a culvert under the road, the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) said. Access to local residences and businesses will be maintained during the construction project. The culvert is located between Huntingwood and Stonycroft Lane. A detour for traffic is Woodward Avenue to Quarton to Adams Road, back to Long Lake, and vice versa. The road will be reopen the evening of November 10. Craig Bryson, public information officer for the RCOC, said the work is being done on the weekend to minimize traffic impacts. Long Lake Road carries about 16,940 vehicles per day.
