Pizzeria employees come to blows

An employee at a Birmingham pizzeria sustained minor injuries on Tuesday, November 5, when she was allegedly assaulted by a fellow employee in the 33000 block of Woodward Avenue. Birmingham police responding about 2 p.m. to Little Caesar's Pizza, 33400 Woodward Ave., arrived to speak to a 21-year-old employee who had a cut under her eye and on her arm. The woman and another witness told officers that a 32-year-old male employee and her had a verbal altercation. The victim told police the male employee shouted at her and struck her multiple times with a closed fist. The male employee then walked out of the restaurant and drove away. The incident is under investigation.
