Ladder used in Birmingham home invasion

Birmingham police are investigating a home invasion that occurred sometime on Wednesday, November 20, in the 1200 block of Yorkshire, during which burglars used a ladder to enter the home. Officers responded to the area about 9 p.m., after the homeowner contacted police to advise them that their home alarm was activated. Officers arrived to the scene and discovered a ladder leaning against the home and leading to an open window that had pry marks. Police said it appears the ladder was removed from a detached, unlocked garage and used to enter the home. Several pieces of jewelry were stolen. No suspects were discovered in the home.
