Man steals cart full of groceries at Kroger

Bloomfield Township police are looking for information about a man who was seen on Tuesday, November 26, fleeing from a local grocery store with a shopping cart full of stolen groceries. Officers responded about 2:30 p.m. to a complaint of a theft at Kroger, 4099 Telegraph Road, after the store manager witnessed a man leave the store with the cart. Police said the manager attempted to stop the man, but he pushed the cart past employees. The man unloaded the items into a black Lincoln MKX Sport Utility Vehicle with a Michigan license plate of EAR 5151. A photo of the man was captured by store security cameras. The man was described as a black male in his 60s, about 6-feet tall and weighing about 225 pounds. He was wearing glasses, a green shirt and khaki pants. Investigators ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
