Women, children used to steal from store

Two women and three children were part of a group on Saturday, December 14, that stole a shopping cart full of Christmas decorations from a Bloomfield Township store, police said. Bloomfield Township police responded about 8:20 p.m. to a theft complaint at At Home, 2101 Telegraph Road, where employees said two women and three children entered the store together, filled a shopping cart with merchandise and attempted to flee without paying. A store employee intercepted the group as they left the store and recovered the shopping cart, which contained inflatable Christmas decorations. The women were described as black females, about 5-feet, 5-inches-tall and weighing about 130 pounds each. One of the women was 25 to 35 years old and the other was 40 to 50 years old. They were seen getting into a silver, extended cab pick-up with the children. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
