Unruly restaurant customer arrested for cocaine

A 42-year-old Pontiac man who had been arguing on Saturday, December 28, with employees at a downtown Birmingham restaurant was arrested on drug possession charges, police said. Birmingham police responded about 1 a.m. to Sidecar Slider Bar, 300 East Merrill, to the complaint of a customer who had been arguing with employees and other customers. Police said the man was in possession of cocaine. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
