$800 in shoes stolen from sporting goods store


A pair of thieves on Saturday, January 11, stole more than $800 in shoes from a Bloomfield Township sporting goods store in the 2100 block of Telegraph. Police said two men were caught on security camera entering the DICK's Sporting Goods, 2105 Telegraph Road, and were observed loading a shopping cart full of Nike basketball shoes before running out of an emergency exit at the back of the store. The first man was described as a white male in his late 20s, about six-feet tall, weighing about 220 pounds with brown hair. The second man was described as a white male in his late 20s, six-feet tall, weighing about 240 pounds, with a facial tattoo. The case is under investigation. Police ask anyone with information to contact the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
