Home security camera makes out Peeping Tom
The motion detector on a Bloomfield Township resident's home security camera on Friday, January 31, alerted him to a Peeping Tom in his backyard two days in a row. Around 10 p.m., Bloomfield Township police officers responded to a home in the 2000 block of S. Spinning Wheel Drive on a report of a Peeping Tom. The homeowner told officers he had received a motion alert on his home security camera system at 9:30 p.m. The exterior camera captured a thin male walking along the side of the victim's house toward the backyard. The camera captured the subject looking into a kitchen window, and then retreating behind a tree. The Peeping Tom fled the scene when the resident's dog began barking. After looking through their surveillance camera's feed, the victim told officers the same subject was captured on security cameras in their yard the day before, Thursday, January 30, at approximately 9:30 p.m. A police K-9 unit responded to the scene and attempted a K-9 track with no success. The case is currently under investigation.
