Man sought for stealing resident's identity


A Bloomfield Township resident checked his credit report and discovered five credit card accounts he had not applied for opened in his name, and called Bloomfield Township police on January 2 to report the fraud. The resident, who lives in the 40000 block of Woodward Avenue, told officers that he was alerted to the identity theft when he received in the mail several credit cards, frore which he had not applied. He then checked his credit report. He discovered there had been five credit card accounts opened in his name. A suspect was captured on store surveillance at a Target store in Westland. The suspect is a black male, 30 to 35 years of age, with a mustache and beard, long, shoulder-length dreadlocks, and a medium complexion. Anyone with information or who can identify the suspect is asked to call the Bloomfield Township Police Department at 248.433.7755.
