While standing at the corner of Maple and Woodward in downtown Birmingham, a woman was shoved to the ground on Tuesday, February 18. After exiting a bus, a 28-year-old male resident of Detroit walked up to the 36-year-old female resident of Detroit, and shoved her to the ground. It is unknown if the two had a history. The male then fled the scene before being apprehended by officers. Birmingham police charged the man with assault and battery.
