Woman nabs Crown Royal from drug store

The store manager of the Rite Aid at Woodward and Square Lake roads in Bloomfield Township observed a woman on surveillance camera stealing three bottles of Crown Royal whiskey on Thursday, February 20. Around 9:40 p.m., Bloomfield Township police were called to the store, located at 42931 Woodward Avenue, for a retail fraud complaint. The store manager told officers he had observed a suspicious woman in the store, which led him to review the camera footage. He observed the woman earlier in the evening concealing, and then stealing, three half-gallon size bottles of Crown Royal whiskey. A further review of the cameras revealed the same woman also had been in the store on Sunday, February 16, when she concealed and stole four 750 ML size bottles of Crown Royal. The suspect is described as a black, heavy-set female, wearing dark clothing and flip flops. She left the store in a dark-colored Hyundai Sonata driven by a black male who was wearing dark clothing. Bloomfield Township police currently have the case under investigation.
