Man takes off with blower from home store

May 22, 2020

A man is being sought after taking off from the Lowe's Store in Bloomfield Township with a backpack blower in his shopping cart without paying for it on Monday, May 11.

A loss prevention officer at Lowe's, 1801 Telegraph Road, reported that a man came into the store, selected a backpack blower and put it into a shopping cart. He waited in line to pay for a few minutes, and then left the store without paying for it in a blue Chrysler minivan with a Michigan license plate, DC6 4149.

Officers reported the suspect was captured on store surveillance cameras.

He is described as a light-skinned black male wearing a red hoody, gray jacket, dark jogging pants and black and white Nike running shoes.

Bloomfield Township police are currently investigating the case.
