Man wanted for phony money at McDonald's

The manager at the Bloomfield Township McDonald's restaurant, 2209 Telegraph Road, alerted police on Thursday, May 21, that a man had tried to use a counterfeit $20 bill for the second time. Bloomfield Township police responded to a complaint of a counterfeit bill at McDonald's, where the manager told officers that a black male had attempted to pay for food with a counterfeit $20 bill. He said the same black male had attempted to pass another counterfeit bill on Tuesday, May 12. The suspect is described as in his 20s with facial hair and medium length hair. He was driving a dark gray or black sedan. Police said the suspect is believed to have passed counterfeit bills at McDonald's restaurants in Auburn Hills and Utica. The case is currently under investigation by Bloomfield Township police, and they ask anyone with information to call them at 248.433.7755.
