Graffiti discovered at city parking garages

Displaced artists tagged the Chester and Park Street parking structures in downtown Birmingham on Monday, June 1, police reported. Officers were first dispatched to the Chester parking structure, 200 S. Chester Street, at 8 a.m., when graffiti was found on the fourth and fifth level walls of the southwest stairwell. Then, at 10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Park Street garage, 400 Park Street, after blue and yellow paint was found on the north wall of the structure. Birmingham police reported there are no suspects or witnesses and they continue to investigate.
