Bloomfield Township will be holding its electronic waste recycling, paper shredding and medication disposal event Saturday, July 11, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will be held at the public services building at 4200 Telegraph Road, just south of Long Lake Road, and is only open to township residents. Identification is required.
A wide variety of items are accepted, including computers and modems, printers, fax machines, hard drives, laptops, laptop batteries, flash drives, AC adapters, power supplies, routers, modems, video streaming devices, including Apple TV and Roku players, cameras, camcorders, webcams SLR cameras, cell phones, pagers, alert devices, cordless phones, DVD, Blu-ray players, VCR, iPods, MP3 players, LCD monitors, network equipment, ink/toner cartridges, remote controls, security and alarm components, video game consoles and accessories, wires, cables, adapters, cable/satellite receivers, CB radio, scanners, battery backup devices, in-dash, outdoor and portable GPS, radar detector speakers/amps, stereo receivers, portable LCD screens, digital photo frames, memory cards, E-readers, TV antennas, projectors, vacuums, alarm clocks, weather stations, hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons, coffee makers, small appliances, paper shredders, slow cookers, crockpots, rice cookers, juicers, dehumidifier, sewing machines, shavers/trimmers, glucose testers and other medical equipment among other items.
All unwanted or unused medication will be collected and disposed of properly.
Paper shredding is available, with a limit of five boxes of office grade paper. Paper clips and staplers must be removed. No newspaper or binders will be accepted.
