Champagne stolen from gas station

Birmingham police were dispatched to the Mobil Gas Station at 36101 Woodward Avenue in regards to reports of a retail fraud that had just occurred the evening of Friday, July 10. Two men came into the Mobil gas station and attempted to buy a bottle of liquor, but didn’t have the proper ID. Later, they returned with a third man, who had the proper ID and purchased the bottle of liquor. During the transaction, one of the men who wasn’t able to buy the liquor took a bottle of champagne and ran out of the store. He’s described as a thin black man, approximately 20-years-old, who was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and Jordan shoes. Birmingham police are currently investigating.
