SUV with FOB inside taken from driveway

Bloomfield Township police responded to a report about a vehicle stolen after a resident had parked it in her driveway on Friday, July 31. The resident, who lives in the 500 block of Overbrook Drive, told police that she had parked her 2020 Ford Expedition, unlocked and with the key FOB inside, in her driveway. Sometime between midnight and 7:20 a.m. on July 31, the vehicle was taken. While investigating another stolen vehicle complaint, a Bloomfield Township police officer saw the stolen Expedition on the side of the road on Monday, August 3. The license plate and key FOB were both missing. The vehicle was then towed to the Bloomfield Township Police Department to process for fingerprints. The case is under investigation.
