Tub of butter replaces cash taken from vehicle

Bloomfield Township police responded to the Birmingham Country Club at 1750 Saxon Drive where cash had been taken from a vehicle and replaced with a tub of avocado butter on Thursday, August 13. The victim reported to police that on Monday, August 10, someone entered his vehicle, which had been left in the parking lot unlocked overnight, and had taken $800 from his wallet that had left been inside the car. The thief left a note that read, “A voice (Butter) crying in the wind edible waffle toast muffin. Thank you,” \ along with a tub of avocado butter. The country club’s general manager suspects it was a former employee, who had been terminated earlier this year and had sent a handwritten postcard to an employee that was similar to the one left in the victim’s car. Bloomfield Township police are currently investigating.
