Cash, credit cards, jewelry, phone taken from car

A Bloomfield Township woman who left her purse, filled with personal items, in her unlocked Cadillac Escalade overnight discovered on Thursday, October 1, that someone had entered the vehicle and stolen all of her things. The resident, who lives in the 3000 block of S. Darlington Road, called Bloomfield Township police around 9:30 a.m. when she went out to her car, which she reported she had left in her driveway overnight. Sometime during the night, an unknown suspect took several items from her unlocked SUV. She discovered someone had stolen her purse, cash, credit cards, a cellphone and two pieces of jewelry. Bloomfield Township police report the case is under investigation, and strongly encourage the public not to leave valuable items in their vehicles and to always lock their car doors.
