Township shopper discovers bicycle stolen

A man who parked his mountain bike, unlocked, on the side of the building by JoAnn Fabrics at Telegraph and Long Lake roads, to go shopping, came out shortly after and discovered someone had stolen the bike on Thursday, October 1. The victim called Bloomfield Township police around 12:15 p.m., after he discovered his green Men's Cannondale 27-speed mountain bike gone. He told them he had parked it at JoAnn Fabrics, 4107 Telegraph Road, and left it unsecured on the side of the building while he went in one of the stores. When he returned 15 minutes later, it was gone. Police report security cameras caught a suspect wearing a gray hoodie and white shirt riding the bike north behind the shopping plaza. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomfield Township Police Department, 248.433.7755.
