Woman discovers opened packages in woods

A woman on a walk in Bloomfield Township on Saturday, October 3, happened upon several opened packages in a nearby wooded lot, and contacted police. The woman, who lives in the 4000 block of Far Hill Drive, informed officers she had found assorted opened packages in a wooded lot while out on a walk, and brought them back to her house. The packages were addressed to several residences in the area, and all of them had their contents missing. The packages appeared to have been exposed to the elements for several days. Bloomfield Township police have the case under investigation.
