Out of control man arrested in Birmingham

A man who broke a table at an apartment building, tried to get into a vehicle at Old Woodward and Merrill, knocked down multiple trash cans and screamed vulgarities at guests at a downtown Birmingham restaurant on Thursday, October 15, was finally arrested by Birmingham police. Officers were called to the 400 block of S. Old Woodward around 10 p.m. on reports of a disorderly person. Witnesses told police a man broke a table as he walked out of the lobby of an apartment building. The man then was seen attempting to get into a vehicle at Old Woodward and Merrill, and he knocked down multiple trash cans on S. Old Woodward between Daines and Merrill. As he ran by Adachi, witnesses said he screamed vulgar slurs at guests. Officers located the man, 33, of Birmingham, and arrested him for malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct.
