Cash stolen from console in unlocked car

A Birmingham resident reported to police that during the night of Saturday, October 31, someone broke into their vehicle and stole $300 in cash. The resident, who lives in the 300 block of Wimbleton, reported to Birmingham police that sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 8 a.m., someone entered their vehicle and removed the cash from the center console. They told officers that the vehicle was parked in their garage with the garage door left open, and the vehicle was unlocked. Nothing else was stolen or out of place in the garage or in another vehicle in the garage. Birmingham police reported the incident is under investigation, and there are no witnesses at this time.
