Cash taken from car parked in garage

A resident living in the 600 block of Mohegan in Birmingham discovered someone stole cash from an unlocked car in their garage sometime between 5 p.m. Sunday, November 1, and noon on Monday, November 2. Upon entering the garage around noon on Monday, November 2, the resident told officers they noticed some items were out of place. An unlocked vehicle was parked in the unlocked, detached garage, and upon checking the vehicle, the resident noticed the center console was in disarray and $45 in cash had been stolen. Birmingham police report the incident is under investigation. There are no witnesses at this time.
