50 items stolen from downtown retailer

A downtown Birmingham store manager in the 100 block of South Old Woodward reported a theft of nearly 50 items valued at $4,200 on Monday, July 15, at 6:30 p.m.

The store manager told police a man walked out the door without paying for the approximately 50 items and got into a gray truck and fled onto Woodward and headed east.

Birmingham police said an investigation is ongoing.
