An Eastpointe woman, who was reportedly staying in an Airbnb located inside an apartment building at the 2100 block of East Maple in Birmingham, was cited  the morning of Sunday, March 22, for malicious destruction of property and causing alarm.

Birmingham police reported that a resident called on the woman, saying she was trying to force her way into the building. Officers found the woman next to the partially broken door when they arrived, and she told them she used a broomstick to pry open the door after she forgot the entry code.

The police report states she denied damaging the door, but she was nonetheless cited for the incident.
